“Hi Michael. Our shed arrived on Friday, as scheduled. Colin is certainly a master of the articulated flat bed! We had friends visiting these past few days, so we didn’t start moving our things in until yesterday. We did sign off on the condition of the building, based on a cursory look by both us and Colin but we all missed an important problem. I’ve attached pictures of a split 2×4 in the wall. Can you advise about repair. Do we require our carpenter to replace the whole board? Thanks,”

“Thanks so much Michael. We really appreciate your commitment to customer service. Of course, from our experience with the company so far, I’m not surprised.”

“Hi Michael,
We are very happy with our shed and the whole process so thank you for everything. I was just hoping to pick your brain for a minute . We are looking at insulating the inside and have found so many different answers on the right way to do it. Have you ever seen anyone do a shed to housing conversion on these? I’m hoping maybe one of your clients have done this already and found a good way to get sufficient air flow and moisture control or you could point me in the right direction to find some answers. Thanks so much.”

RESPONSE:
Good to hear from you, Jenny!
I’m glad that everything went well for you. It’s always great to hear, thanks!
Insulating your building is one thing, converting it to meet housing code is a whole other matter. To insulate the building for occasional use would be as simple as having it spray foamed. That would seal the walls and ceiling against moisture penetration. If you were to install fiberglass batt insulation you’d run the risk of moisture forming between the batts and the outside walls.
Insulating it to housing code is a much bigger challenge, but it is possible. A company specializing in insulation can help. They may ask for drawings to give you a quote. I can order the drawings for you if you need them. They’re $56.50 with tax and would be emailed to you in 24-48 hours.
Again, great to hear from you!

note: Jenny purchased a building off one of my lots. If I know in advance that you’re planning to insulate I can provide options.
“Just wanted to say how impressed and happy we are with the purchase and set up of our new shed on Wednesday May 15th.
The two pleasant fellows that put up the shed sure knew how to work together and worked amazingly as a team. It was refreshing to see young men that were not afraid of hard work, knew how to get along with one another and were also very knowledgeable carpenters.
We will certainly be recommending your company to anyone who needs a new shed.”
“My shed was delivered as per estimate time of arrival. The delivery and placement of the shed was done with an experienced operator.
