About our Siding Options
Old Hickory Buildings offers two siding options, LP Smart Panel siding or T1-11 siding.
In most environments in Northern Ontario:
- Urethaned LP Smart Panel: won’t need to be recoated for 25 years
- Painted LP Smart Panel: won’t need to be recoated for 6-10 years. Darker colours will fade sooner than lighter
- T1-11 pressure treated and water sealed: won’t need to be recoated for 2-3 years

Old Hickory does not guarantee colour match. The same paint can look different due to coverage, material that it’s applied to, age of existing paint, and light.

Standard Metal Roof Colour Options *
About our Metal Roofs
Old Hickory Buildings 29-gauge metal roof is available in a wide array of colors and backed by the manufacturer’s 30-year limited warranty against rust through.
Our metal roofing panels are fastened with color matching screws to ensure the best possible appearance. Our fasteners are designed with an enhanced corrosion resistant coating and use a self-sealing neoprene washer to prevent leaks.

About our floors
Our engineered floors start with 2 or 4 pressure treated 4×6’s that run the length of the building. 8′ & 10′ wide buildings have 2, 12′-16′ wide buildings have 4.
The 4×6’s are notched every 12″ or 16″.* Into the notches are nailed pressure treated 2×4’s or 2×6’s.* On that goes tongue and groove LP® ProStruct® Flooring, engineered for specifically this purpose.
Engineered Panel Tongue and Groove – A flooring designed and warranted specifically for sheds, LP® ProStruct® Flooring with SmartFinish® features a durable overlay for a beautiful, professional-grade appearance.
With no knots or voids, it’s a welcome change from building with traditional plywood flooring. Plus, unlike plywood shed floors, LP® ProStruct® Flooring with SmartFinish® is treated with the LP® SmartGuard® process for longer-lasting performance in a variety of climates/weather.
